Thousands of students flocked to the UBCO campus on Friday night to kick off the school year at the university's sold out Frosh concert event. Known for it’s stellar lineups of top acts such as Adventure Club and Classified, fans were not disappointed to learn that Electronic Dance Music Producer, 3LAU would be headlining along rap star Ty Dolla Sign this year. While attendees eagerly waited for the headliners, they danced to a killer selection of tracks performed by some of Kelowna’s very own DJ’s. The last local group to come out and hype up the crowd was UBCO’s own, OttoHumour. Picking up djing in 2015, Slim Tyme started djing with the intention of creating an atmosphere where people can come out, party and be free. Over the years, Slim Tyme has witnessed an exponential growth in opportunity and experience going from opening at the SUP 2015 Toga party to headlining the SUP white t shirt party in 2017 and 2018, performing at Centre of Gravity in 2017, as well opening for big artists like Ty Dolla Sign, Omarion, Desiigner, Hopsin, ASAP Ferg, Davido, Burna boy and many other big names. With his ability to blend throwback songs with modern bangers and international hits, cunning word play sets, and surprise saxophone performances, Slim Tyme hopes to bring an experience that will not soon be forgotten.
