Slim Money

As a born and raised Native of Corruptstate A*K*A Upstate, N.Y. Slim Money was born Michael Young on July 31st, 1983 @ St.Mary Hospital on Genesee Ave in Rochester, N.Y. Now residing in Atlanta, Ga. Slim experienced several tragedies that shaped him in a negative manner growing up but as many others turned to Hip-hop music for Life lessons and tales to mentally escape inside. He's been a Hip-hop fan since his early days watching G.I Joe & Transformers...lol. What got Him to fall in love with not only music but the lyrics were songs like "Renee" by the Lost Boys and "You all I need" with Meth and Mary J. Also The Roots with Erykah Badu "You Got me" and Jay-z's Reasonable Doubt album. His Career sparked freestylin Downtown in front Of the Sibley Tower, in Roc City, N.Y. After a few run-ins with the law and a near death life-altering accident in 2002, experienced in Penn, Pa. He made the decision to focus on pursuing becoming not only a hip-hop icon but a musical legend not just a respected freestyle emcee. More than any of the riches, cars, cribs, or the fame, he wanted to be heard. He studied as a protégé for 2 yrs. under the tutelage of an amazing artist and mentor his uncle Kevin "Kapone" Robinson honing his Songwriting skills. With lessons learned in hand and a Heavy Knapsack on his back filled with notebooks, beats, pens, plus a Fat Splif. He dared to dream on the stoop of Dewey Ave writing his every thought, but this wasnt enough he needed more growth. In order to better himself as a man as well as an artist he had to again make some life changing decisions in order to avoid the fate so many of his fellow comrades had suffered before him. He decided to move down south in order to separate himself from all that hes known his whole life, family, friends, even the city that groomed him. He headed to Atlanta to be discovered, being that the A-town was considered the New Black Mecca once he recognized his dream was in motion and he created a realistic movement, he continually strived for self- improvement and empowerment. He linked forces with a ATL rapper named Blink with a plot for spreading project M.O.B After the tragic lost of his close friend Darius Blinky Sims he's vowed to push forward in his memory. As the last of the co- founders Slims taken control of the M.O.B "Men of Business." Slim Money B*K*A Mic Corleone A*K*A Furiouz Stylez...Is building his legacy to grasp the torch. Treating every verse as his first and every track as his last striving for excellence....He's Adapted and Overcome and now He's Ready to make his Run!!!!!
