Bio

SLINKY MINX comes to you from their
breeding ground of Petaluma, California. This
Nor-Cal, Pop-Punk-Rock Three-Girl sensation
has spent the last three years writing and playing
music, organizing and booking most of their own
shows, recording two demo's, a 7-song EP and one
full-length cd; and, in that time, have played
over 100 shows from San Diego, Ca to Portland,
Oregon.
The roles of the band members are not as
clearly defined as usually goes. Julie Sperling,
Jen Newman, and Teresa Peter make up band,
and all three girls act as lead and back up vocal
during various songs.
Julie trades off between drums, and bass, Jen trades off between guitar and bass, and Teresa plays drums, bass, and guitar respective to individual songs. All three musicians write music and lyrics for the band, and collectively do some tasteful renditions of popular cover songs including "Just like Heaven" by The Cure.
Fans will tell you time and time again, that these girls really light up the stage. Slinky Minx puts on a live performance that has been described as "irresistibly danceable," "energetic," and "unforgettable." Even local radio DJ Jeff Blazy, of KXFX 101.7 The Fox, called Slinky Minx his "new favorite local band" in an interview with them, and has often played their songs during his morning show since then.
