WE HAVE BEEN A BAND FOR FIVE YEARS. VERY RECENTLY WE EXPERIENCED A CHANGE IN OUR LINE-UP AND A DIFFERENT LOOK ON MUSIC IN GENERAL. IT IS LIKE FINDING A NEW START, A PATH, A POSITVE REASON TO CONTINUE TO STRIVE. LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING THE HEAVIEST SHIT KNOWN TO MAN , THE CDS ARE GONNA COME FLYIN AT YOU REAL SOON. SINCE THE PURCHASE OF OUR BELOVED RECORDER WE HAVE CONTINUED TO ADD TO THE FOREVER GROWING LIST OF OUR COMBINED REPEROIRES. OUR FANS AND OUR SHOWS HAVE CONTINUED TO INSPIRE THE HEAVY AND MELODIC SOUND THAT SLIT SOUL IS KNOWN FOR. DEREK HAS STEPPED UP TO THE PLATE AS LEAD GUITARIST REPLACING BLAZIN J. ALL MEMBERS NOW SHARE LEAD VOCAL AND SONG-WRIITING RESPOSIBLITIES EQUALLY...............

We have all come to the agreement that we all love Metallica, Slayer, and Pantera.

Here are the guilty band members that make up SlitSoul:

RYAN FLORENCE: The weapon most commonly seen in this tall band member is his 5-string
bass guitar, which he sleeps with every night...just kidding. He resides (that means "lives in"
for all you illiterate people) in a small blink-and-you-miss-it town called OK Falls, just south
of Penticton. Ryan is more of a giant mascot who makes all of us laugh with his quick looks
and his freaky lyrics. Look for this guy to start a mosh pit on fire. If you see Ryan, ask him to sing some Six Feet Under or some Sepultura and you will start to laugh, not only because he sings it well but also because he puts sooo much passion into singing he bobs around like a fish on a hook. All in all though, he is a wicked bass player who knows what he is doing and he does it well.

NATHAN FRASER: Oh man, if you could hear this guy right now, you would be amazed at what he can do. Nathan is one of the reasons why SlitSoul sounds heavy and in beat. Nathan Fraser lives in Penticton, B.C., a bigger (if not better) town to come from where there are actually things to do. Nathan started playing drums as a young elementary boy way back in...elementary. He joined SlitSoul mid-way through his band with Ryan and has been an inspirational player every time we play. Off the record, if we could keep all the drum kits that Nathan has bled on (that's right...bled) we would have no room to keep them all. He has bled on quite the few drum sets. Look for this drummer to be on the cover of Drummer's Monthly. If there is such a magazine.
Derek is the oldest of the band being 24 years old and having the most experience on guitar. Derek is the lead guitarist and vocalist for the band which makes his job a bit difficult. Derek lives in Oliver, B.C. Derek's style of playing has been compared to a 'young Kirk Hammett' or a ' young Tony Iommi and with practice in the future years, Derek and his band will soon dominate the Top 10 charts.
