"Slo V and Retro] Interviews w/ DaGr8fm Radio in Miami"

Much love goes out to Slo V and Retro. Its my 2nd interview with them and seeing the progression is just amazing, being that in this industry, its a NON stop grind and HUSTLE. This two have been on that grind and it has gotten them here today. With hit songs “Buzzin”, and “Up Next” these two definitely knows how to create a BUZZ to even be talked about. They compliment each other and take their craft seriously. They’ve actually both known each other since elementary days and just kept the friendship going and starting rapping with each other at a young age. Slo V and Retro music speaks for them (U MUST LISTEN). They both free-style and I can assure you that you will be seeing more of them. "J & Jah Entertainment Group’s Slo V & Retro Take Miami, Where A Breeding Ground of Mega Stars Have Preceded Them"

Major hometown following propels rising hip-hop duo into national spotlight with upcoming release of "LWG".

Miami, Florida (PRWEB) April 30, 2012
Miami is known for the exciting aroma of spicy salsa and sweet perfume that fills the air as tourists from all over the world gather to gaze into the scenic skies, walk the pristine beaches, and marvel at the sparkling coastline.
Oozing of energy, urban nightlife, bright lights, and deeply saturated hues mostly only seen in storybooks and cartoons, naturally, Miami has it's pulse on hottest in entertainment—demanding only the best of the best—and has proven to be a powerful catapult for launching some of today's most in-demand artists. Rick Ross, Flo Rida, Pitbull, Sean Kingston and Luther Campbell are just a few of the Hip-Hop mega stars who have risen from the city known for its diversity of culture and architecture, and most recently rap combo Slo V & Retro have been riding the Miami wave as well.
This Haitian and Dominican duo first gained notice within the city of Heat as the exceedingly creative "dark horse" of the streets when their first mixtape—accurately titled "Tha Underdogs"—exploded onto the scene. Followed by their collaboration with well-known Miami artist Ballgreezy on the single "My Vibe", the duo's local following quickly grew.
Slo V & Retro have been rapping and recording music together since the tape deck days. Not only do they share the same island as their homeland, they also share cultural traditions that are deep rooted from many generations. Tastemakers and fans alike voiced much appreciation for the group's ability to incorporate their unique ethnic backgrounds into their music and infuse it with the vivid Miami spirit. As Retro expresses, “This is what Miami is all about, a blend of island traditions, music and cultures."
Past the city limits, news of the duo quickly spread throughout The Sunshine State and beyond, landing them on an unexpected platform—from underdogs to industry newcomers. Slo V & Retro are currently planning the release of their latest project "LWG" along with a slew of new music videos to follow. The duo is a self-sufficient act that produces all of their own music, videos and create all of their own graphics and artwork as well (through their company 205th Music). A sea of people are highly-anticipating this upcoming release.

Slo V and Retro Release Lowerbotton on the Heels of Successful Hit Single

Miami duo, “Slo V” and “Retro” are coming off a recent hit with their single, How They Feel.  The single hit the top of iHeart Radio within a month.  Their new album release, Lowerbottom, has been described as a “clever mix of  relatable issues,

unapologetic lyrics over mainstream Miami production.” The album released on November 19th 2015.

Miami, FL—Miami has become a new Hip Hop capital and local celebrities Slo V and Retro are riding that wave of trendy Hip Hop to radio stations all over South Florida.  This duo believe that their sound will also translate to people living outside the region that want jams that take the best of urban rap and combines it with meaningful lyrics.  “People love to party,” says Slo V.  “We bring beats to the table that make you want to get up and dance, but with raps that have an edge to them.  The Miami sound is spreading in the US as evidenced by Flo Rida and Rick Ross, and we’re bringing ‘Miami to folks’, but Miami by way of the Lowerbottom.”

Slo V and Retro share deep-rooted cultural traditions stemming back to their birthplaces of Haiti and Dominican Republic which makes the collaboration work.  They share the same energy and spirit and bring that with every single.  Lowerbottom is their latest effort and shows a maturity from previous albums they have released.  Having performed and delivered engaging Hip Hop to audiences all over for the last few years, they now understand what resonates live and what works in format.

We put out an album that we’re both proud of, that represents where we came from and where we’re going,” says Retro.  “The reception we’ve gotten both in airplay and at our performances really let us know we’re on the right track.  Watching people get up and dance to our music is all the reward we need right now.”
