Feeling a bit camera shy

The lights where shinning, and the audience was screaming, but all that was going threw his mind
was that he had just won the "Top Male Vocalist of South Africa " award. That was 1964 and the group
was Calders Collection, Sloan's dad was the lead singer. With such a history, It was fate that Sloan
would soon follow in his fathers footsteps. But it took awhile before Sloan knew...

At the age of 21 Sloan decided to go to music school, why? "I thought it might be cool, I didn't know what to do with my self and my mother was hasseling me to study something". So he inroled at the N.S.A. And within the first term he got promoted up a year because of his excellent marks. Within the
next year he won the coveted "Songwriter of the year", produced his 2nd C.D. and toured the coast "I didn't have a clue that music was so much a part of me before I studied it, it was just like wham! "Here you go!
your talented in music!" my family and I where suprised, they thought I was gonna go and study
something else after music". Fortunatly it didn't pan out that way and Sloan, after he graduated, began working in a small studio. After completing 3 albums for an opera singer Sloan decided to go on his own and started his own studio called "Found Da Sound".

With influences like Queen, Avril lavinge, Bread and Eric Clapton, Sloan has made a unique sound of his
own. Performing at the World Aids day, appearing in the musical "Disco Fever" and doing session vocals are all just stepping stones to Sloan's ultimate dream of performing before Tens of thousands "As much as I love producing and the studio, the stage is where its at, for some reason its where I belong, in front of
people listening to what I gotta say"
