"Under The Radar"

"It's only a matter of time till we get these guys to sign on the dotted line"

• Local modern-rockers SloRoll occasionally smacks of Smashing Pumpkins in its sing-songy lead guitar work, but that's about where its art-rock tendencies end. The band's polished pop as a whole isn't terribly far from radio-rock act Vertical Horizon.

Drown by SloRoll (Rock section)
The four judges voted this the top song (sorry, no prize for second).
Good hook, good layers and dynamics, feels genuine, lyrics flow well.

This song has an amazing intro and leads into a solid track. There is some very intricate guitar work and fantastic guitar harmonies there and a nice driving bass line underneath.
The big attraction for me was the superb drumming, some good rhythm changes for me there and some quite complex patterns in places. The vocals remind me a bit of Radiohead and the whole track had that type of feel but with a more rocked out edge to it.
I agree with others that this is most definitely a track you would hear on the radio.
A good solid song worth checking out in my opinion.

very VERVEish.

You guys are going to get someone's attention.

Great vocals, superb mixing, and great guitar innovation. Where are you all from? My wife was listening and commented on the great lyrics (me, the musician, was into the music and audio groove, which is top o' the line!)

You get to the chorus when you should (the rule being the 1 min. mark) and have a formula'd hit here.

All the best.

Feeling a bit camera shy

The members of Sloroll seperately have toured all over the planet earth. Coming together in early 2005, the band has recorded a full length record to be released in summer 05, and are getting on the road summer/fall to promote the record.
