Slowly Taking Over

“We never though we would take it this far…” S.T.O. began just like anything else does, with a thought. The group started making music just for fun on a friend’s studio equipment in 2010 but everyone quickly realized that the situation was more than just fun. Artists YG Hollyhood, Eric Styles, Phill Gates, Pacman and Italy all had interest in music before actually getting behind the mic; so when they were put into the booth it felt like home. S.T.O. was able to grab local ears and attention with their first real attempt at a song and video- “Lisa”. Using a beat from rapper Fabolous, the group transformed the song utilizing their own hooks and style making it catchy and impossible to ignore- this is when their love for making music was born. Slowly Taking Over prides themselves on remaining self sufficient, from the start all music, videos, and production has been done in-house and is now on another level and this allows the group to make music whenever they want to-literally. Now in 2012 S.T.O. is full steam ahead making music nearly everyday and waiting for their music to be heard by the right person...
