Born in Grenada and raised in Toronto, SlowPitch (Cheldon Paterson) has been using the turntable creatively to explore sound his entire adult life. Turntable composition, live performance and improvisation have been key elements whether performing solo, with culturally diverse classical musicians or scoring silent films at established events such as the 26th Images Festival, Mutek, Tiff Bell Light Box, Nuit Blanche [MORE INFO]. Cheldon is also a DJ instructor and has been teaching the art of Turntablism for the past 6 years at Off Centre DJ and Electronic Music Production School in Toronto.
