SlyngShot is based around four very talented musicians who have paid their dues, and entertained audiences around the Southeast for years.

Kicking things off is...

Guitarist/Vocalist Rick Fortenberry.
Rick kicked off a great professional
musical career back in the late 60's and 70's as the Lead Guitarist for the
hugely popular band 'The Rockin' Rebellions'. Their heavy touring and recordings, such as their big hit "Anyway The Wind Blows" propelled them into a coveted place in the Alabama Music Hall of Fame - And Rick's love of music has kept him playing and singing to this day.

Drummer Jay Michaels
Jay kicked off a life of laying down a steady beat at the age of 15, when he joined one of the most popular party bands of the 60's and 70's - Rooster & The Townsmen. Rooster and the guys entertained audiences all over Alabama, the Gulf Coast and the rest of the Southeast. Their recordings are still sought after by local record collectors. As they continued to play the music they love, Jay along with Lead-Rhythm Guitarist/Keys/Vocalist Bill Barron have also entertained radio audiences for 30-plus years on some of the most popular radio stations around the Southeast.

Bill also started his musical career off at the early age of 16, and once he got a taste of entertaining people, he was hooked. Over the years, he has played and filled in with a number of great bands & artists, including The Excursions, Middle Creek, The Ramblers, Larry & The Loafers and Hot Shotz, opening and sharing the stage for such well known artists as LeeRoy Parnell (and also playing guitar alongside LeeRoy),
Kenny Chesney, John Berry, the late Jerry "Boogie McCain" and Atlanta Rhythm Section.

Bass Guitarist/Vocalist Mike Morgan
Mike has played and sung his heart out all over the Southeast in bands with Rick and Jay, and in bands such as the Shambrays. His excellent skill of playing bass guitar, laying down just the right notes, and singing has drawn him attention for years.

Together, Rick, Jay, Mike and Bill epitomize what a professional band is all about. They entertain, have an incredible amount of fun while doing it, and they relate.

SlyngShot is also available as an acoustic act, and they can also provide Mobile DJ entertainment (for a small additional cost) along with the band, so you can have the best of both worlds for your event, and have 'non-stop' entertainment covering all types of musical genres for a day or night you'll definitely enjoy.
