Biography


Born in Milwaukee, WI with two holes in his heart and one working lung, Smalls has beaten may odds to accomplish his dreams.

Unable to participate in the activities normal nine-year-old boys do, Smalls retreated to writing music, recording, and performing with his older brother and two cousins.

While pursuing national exposure with the group Madworld in which he was the lead, seventeen-year-old Smalls' lung collapsed. Seeing this divine intervention, Smalls sought and found God. This journey showed him purpose inside his music and a deeper hunger to help others through the gift of music.

Smalls, with three other members formed Blood Related and began a massive community outreach mission, traveling to Colorado, Chicago's Cabrini Green Projects, and Atlanta, Georgia, among other places.

In November of 2001, Smalls branched out even more by establishing "Subliminal Soul." Exploring the mixture of musical genres and sounds. Subliminal Soul is a creative expression of the human journey, displaying the good, the bad, and the ugly of life.

Always attempting to share his God given gift of music with others, Smalls has written, produced, and performed several radio show theme songs as well as commercials for national cable music stations.

Striving to take the listeners higher, Smalls promises passion in every venture he is involved in. Continuing to survive despite obstacles, Smalls is definitely someone to watch.
