Small City Calling

Small City Calling

 San Diego, California, USA

From Warped Tour to the Whisky A Go - Go, Small City Calling continues to rock the West Coast. With a brand new record coming out and major successes from their previous records, these homepage veterans will stop at nothing until the world knows who they are.

One of Southern California’s brightest up and coming stars, Small City Calling is taking the music scene by storm. SCC met and formed at San Diego State University in the fall of 2009. Singer songwriter, Ryan Erwin, wrote many of the bands first demo with roommate, Kevin Adams and shortly after recruited Jake Falzone to form the band. In 2010 SCC dropped their truly innovative and conceptual debut EP, "OCEANUS". Oceanus takes listeners on a 20 minute journey through all 4 world oceans, Arctic, Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific. The EP's single, "Castaways" received airplay on San Diego's very own 91X and the indian ocean movement, "Messengers" was the top downloaded song on iTunes for the band that year. Last year the band released their first full length studio record. The band is more than excited to get the new songs out for more than one reason. The album captures SCC in a wonder place in their musical evolution. While musical creativity for the record was opened up to every band member and made entirely in their home studio, although you would never know it. Last year the band put a lot of time into practicing and working studio drummer Alejandro Feria into the live mix. After many months spent fine tuning their performance skills, playing some shows from San Diego to Los Angeles (Selling out at show at the Whiskey A Go-Go), and winning a date on the Vans Warped Tour this summer, AND a brand new Full Length album set for release at the end of 2012, Small City Calling is back and ready to make leaps and bounds in 2013!
