Bio

Evan LeFloch conceived the idea for Smallfish in 1998 while earning
his Music degree from Rollins College. A professor asked him to
consider if he wanted to be a small fish in a big pond or a big fish
in a small pond. After some thought Evan chose to be a small fish so
that he could always remain true to himself as an artist. Since then
Smallfish has been touring the US and world sharing their music and
stories with thousands of kids, teens and adults at a variety of
concerts, conferences and gatherings of all sizes. Every Smallfish
performance is a one of a kind event tailored to meet the needs of the
audience; however, every one is guaranteed to be high energy, full of
fun and laughter. Most songs deal with positive choices and imagination. Along the way the band has released 10 albums of
both original and cover music. The newest album, Evan LeFloch: The Orange Album
was released in May.

In addition to live performance of original music, Evan offers hour long workshops in the following topics:

• Age-appropriate music-making workshops for non-musicians from age 5 to 100. The group learns to create rhythms and tones and learns the basics of beats and measures.
• Interactive songwriting lecture/demonstration covers the structure of songs. The group will write a song together about the issues they are facing.
• Private lessons
• Fun with Music Theory workshop covering song and chord structure and how emotion reacts with different tonalities.

Evan is a dedicated songwriter, performer, teacher and public speaker.
He teaches music at the Patel Conservatory in Tampa, Florida.
Besides music, his greatest passions are travel and high adventure
activities. His bags are always packed as he looks for his next
destination and activity. These experiences and the people he meets
along the way continue to inspire his music.
