Small Town Heroes is an up and coming band based out of South Central Pennsylvania. They have brought a new sound to the area with their fully acoustic instrumentation and stellar voice of lead singer Sarah Shank. Small Town Heroes is a band that draws influences from a wide variety of places, from the neo–jam band OAR to The Beatles, from Miles Davis to the modern rock group Incubus. They fuse the upbeat pop-rock groove of such groups as Semisonic and Eagle Eye Cherry with the heartfelt song writing and vocal prowess of Evanescence.
Within the short stint that Small Town Heroes has been together, the group has built a promising and continually growing following. The band has been given air play on the York College radio station. Also they have been featured as the first live musical act on NBC25’s morning show, the highest rated and most watched show of its kind in the area. Small Town Heroes has also received notice from music industry professionals. Iron Horse Publishing has expressed great interest in the group. With infectious grooves and sincere lyrics why wouldn’t they?
