Small Town Station Responds to ‘Love Song’ by Sara Bareilles
Indie recording artists, Small Town Station, delivered a hit when they wrote a response to Sara Bareilles ‘Love Song.’ In direct response to Sara’s lyric, “I’m not gonna write you a love song,” Small Town Station responds with “…I needed a love song – I needed a reason to know she’s willing to care.”
Response songs are not a new concept – remember “My Girl” by The Temptations and “My Guy” recorded by Mary Wells and written by Smokey Robinson, or The Beatles “Revolution” - a response to the Rolling Stones “Street Fighting Man,” or perhaps the more recent TLC song, “No Scrubs” with a response from Sporty Thievz, “No Pigeons.”
Small Town Station hails from Groton, Massachusetts, a small town outside of Boston. The three brothers, Eric, Matt and David Bisceglia were inspired to write the response song after hearing “Love Song” on the radio. Small Town Station’s new release, ‘She’s Just Another,’ is currently being featured on the airwaves and websites and has created quite the buzz. Small Town Station's sound is a mix of alternative / rock / pop - all original and all real. Each talented musician is inpired by artists such as Radiohead, Cold Play, Soundgarden, Days of the New, Faith No More, The Beatles, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beck, Snoop Dogg, Lenny Kravitz, Stevie Wonder, etc...but enjoy creating their own original sound.
