Bio
What happens when you put a couple of classically trained musicians together who share a love for pop music and guitar rock? You get Small Town Workers, four guys who traded in their cellos and upright basses for guitars and drums in an attempt to rewrite the book of alt-rock. Influenced equally by the rock pioneers of the 1970's and the great pop songwriters of today, STW sideswipes the expectations of 70's riff-rock with undeniably catchy melodies. Over the last 3 years, this Virginia quartet has gone from paying their dues in the bars and fraternities of their alma mater, to sharing the stage and performing with the likes of Hoobastank, Blue Merle, The Clarks, Michael Tolcher, My Morning Jacket, O.A.R., and the Dave Matthews Band. It is no accident that STW's combination of influences makes for a cohesive rock gem like their debut album, "The Right of Way". www.smalltownworkers.com
