For some, dreams are farsighted, unimaginable if you will. For others, a dream is only asfar as you could see it. Pittsburgh PA, rapper BOLO is living proof that raw talent,ambition, and honesty can still exist in today’s music industry. Standing tall, treating rap as a platform to spread his message, BOLO motivates others coming from the samestruggle with his lyrical flow mixed with his double time flow. At just 23 years old, BOLO has already chosen a path that has taken him from the depths of his city, to the top of his game performing state to state, producing his own music, and
building his name. His attitude and work ethic is a reflection of his vision. “Honestly, I feel like I could touch my dreams and goals, and it doesn’t really matter how I make it happen, I am going to make it happen,” BOLO states. “I always have had a passion for
music as long as I could remember”, BOLO states. Whether it was flipping through his family’s collection of Rakim and BONE THUGS N HARMONEY albums, rapping alongto Notorious B.I.G, or sneaking in to freestyle on his brother’s microphone. He always had a passion for music. No matter what, music has always been apart of him. The young artist skills really honed at the Shadow Lounge. With a love for music and the ability to
freestyle he made his presence felt at every open mic. Eventually, it was no longer enough to simply do open mics. He wanted to go a step further and begin to record his music. There he recorded his first song Click Clack with some of his friends and began taking his music back to his neighborhood. Afterwards, BOLO found himself performing at WAMO’s talent shows, and other events throughout the city of Pittsburgh. Gaining
experience as an artist and a live performer BOLO eventually took his career on the road. BOLO has successfully organized three of his own regional tours throughout the midwestand east coast. Consecutively, bringing out on average 1000 people to each event.Along the way, BOLO has had the opportunity to open up for artist such as Maino, andChevy Woods. Even more important BOLO has helped give back to the community by helping kick off Pittsburgh’s own Black Family Reunion every year. As BOLO continues to progress, he is currently in the studio working on his fourth
mixtape Gospel of Wealth. Teaming up with DJ Dirty Dollars, his mixtape is expected to drop in December on LiveMixtapes. Combining the production of Lemar French’s and BOLO’s creative style he is ready to bring something new to the game.
