Bio

Smoke Club is a collection of some of some of Michigan's best new hip hop talents, making major waves out of the exceptionally talented, but seriously underrated westside of the state. Featuring the genius of 5 exceptional MC's and 3 production artists, Smoke Club is lyrically headed by Mad Spec and Musically headed by Mike B. Beats.

Although they didn't know what was in store, the two actually met 2 years before working on music as members of the same intramural football team. After realizing both had the same intentions of making hip hop, it was only natural to meet up in Western Sound Studios at Western Michigan University, their alma mater.

What started as two, quickly turned to 4 as friends from both of them started to make songs with them. J Surreal and Luck Shots came aboard through hard work and quality writing. It was obvious that this group was heading somewhere and many hopeful mc's tried to gain entry into the ranks. Smoke Club has stayed true to it's original intetions by working only with people who are interested in making music that is A:) commercially acceptable, but also B:) music that is on it's own tip.

Over the last two years, Smoke Club has accumulated a highly talented line up featuring 5 lyrical artists and 3 instrumental composers. Some have compared the Smoke Club vibe to that of Wu Tang while the individual members have drawn comparisons to some of the more respected solo artists in the industry such as Ludacris, Beans, and more.

Bottom Line, you'll never find a better collection of individuals who possess both immense amounts of book smarts and street smarts. Exposure is the only thing that separates Smoke Club from any big name group. The quality is there, and now comes the hard part :)
