On Sunday June 1st Smoke Ring took to the stage and made all the other bands sit up and take notice. That notice was we're here and we're the one's to beat!
The driving guitar licks, strong lead vocals, hot harmonies, and lots of hair was too much for the other bands as they were the unanimous choice of the judges.
Smoke Ring is getting ready for their June 21st date opening for .38 Special, on June 25th they'll be in a battle of the bands at the Patio, and on July 19th look for them at the Marion County Fair.
Get out and see Smoke Ring now while there just working the midwest and grab on to these guys! Thet're going to the top!!

Rock and Roll Band
Influenced by arena rock of the 70's, Smoke Ring has a familiar classic rock sound and delivers high energy live performances. From the opening chords of "Action" through the soulful story of a poor man told in "Man I Know," to the bombastic finale of "Shut It Down," Smoke Ring live shows leave the audience captivated, spellbound, and hungry for more.
After the name was established in the public eye, it was time to record the debut CD simply entitled, "SMOKE RING." The disc contains 10 pure Midwestern rock and roll songs that are lined with energy and soul.
2003 has proven to be a productive year for the band, as they have been constantly busy with shows, promotions, festivals, etc.
Smoke Ring influences are compiled of a wide variety of styles and genres and that is what gives the band so much character and that is what jives with the listeners.
