Bio

In the Tradition of great Canadian Blues Icons such as McKenna Mendelson Main Line, King Biscuit Boy, and The Down Child Blues Band; The Smoke Wagon Blues Band are living proof that the Blues are alive and well in Ontario Canada. Assembled in 1997 this five piece boogie unit has quite the long list of accomplishments, playing top billed blues festivals all over the province along side names such as Ronnie Hawkins, David Wilcox, David Gogo, David Rotundo, Trick Bag, and Jeff Healey to name just a few. In 1999 Corey Lueck front man harp player for the band spent some time playing in New Orleans along side famous New Orleans piano legend Johnny Gordon and Blues hot spots such as Sarah's Kitchen in Clarksdale Miss. During the 2000's the band became crowd favorites in Hamilton Ontario's famous Hess Village music scene performing classic Chicago Blues and New Orleans Swing. Three Blues indie albums under their belts and regular gigging across the province of Ontario and even as far as St. Johns NFLD and Yukon Territory have seasoned and originated this band's sound. Due to their raw, honest, never over produced dirty whiskey stained sound the band has earned international radio play and a fantastic local fan base.
