"Opening for Winger"

If you haven't already heard, there is a new band from Asbury Park that
is creating a lot of buzz. Smokin' Aces recently released their debut EP
"Cease & Desist" while playing to a rockin' packed house at the Stone
Pony last month. Their new CD has also been featured on 95.9 The Rat and
105.5 WDHA. A throwback to pre-grunge era rock, where musicianship and
showmanship were paramount, Smokin' Aces commands any stage and
electrifies audiences in ways that are reminiscent of legendary bands.
Blending the old with the new while creating a show that is nothing
short of explosive, you'll know why their shows are now considered a
music lovers "MUST SEE". Go ahead and sample some of their new tunes

"Smokin' Hot Rock n' Roll"

Local rock band Smokin' Aces will be releasing their debut EP "Cease &
Desist" on the evening of January 18th. The band will be kicking things
off with a CD release show at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park (doors open
at 8:00PM/All ages welcome). The band is made up completely by local
musicians, Jude of Tinton Falls, Slater of Keyport, and from Toms River,
Eric Gritschke, Jose Horrach, and Rob Russel. Smokin' Aces is
reminiscent of early day Guns N' Roses with an in your face attitude and
classic rock-n-roll sound. Without support from a major label they've
already received airplay on 95.9 The Rat. Now making a name for
themselves the old fashioned way, through hard work, attitude and
incredible sound, this is a band that is truly exciting to watch.
Smokin' Aces recorded their EP at 17th Avenue Studios with two time Dove
Award winner, Plink Giglio, best known for his work with Glen Burtnik
and Styx (previews available on Recently
nominated for Top Rock Band at the 2007 Asbury Music Awards, Smokin'
Aces continues to please. Other bands set to perform with Smokin' Aces
at their CD release show on the 18th are Your Beautiful Demise and The
Black Clouds. Be sure to stick around after Smokin' Aces plays for
Jimmie D's Midnite Vulture Dance Party. This promises to be one very
