Smokstik is a St. Louis- based drum and Warr Guitar duo featuring John "Kingvegas" Kiehne on Warr Guitar and vocals. John plays guitar, bass and synth parts simultaneously on the Warr Guitar while singing giving this duo a full-band sound.
Smokstik was founded in Boston in 1995 and has performed throughout the Northeast and Midwest regions. John moved to St. Louis in 2001 and has played a number of live shows in the St. Louis area over the years.
Smokstik recently released 8 new original tunes for digital release and was recently featured on John Carney's KMOX radio show local music spotlight.
Smokstik recently rewrote their own version Linkin Park's "The Catalyst" for their remix contest which is available for download and on You Tube.
John is currently working on new material for the next Smokstik release as well as producing tracks for the Jamcorps exercise system and a variety of artist collaborations.
