Bio
Smolsky is a singer/songwriter, actor/model, and musician originally from Los Angeles, CA now based in New York City. His lyrical, yet commanding style is a blend of his background in musical theatre and his influence of writers such as Bob Dylan, Ed Sheeran, James Bay, and the late David Bowie. He is known for being captivating performance style. After spending three years playing in Santa Monica, Smolsky created his own record label, Crazy Bitch Records, and set out on tour across the United States and the UK. In venues such as The Last Bookstore in Los Angeles, the Ryman Auditorium and Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, The Bitter End in NYC, and The Cavern Club in Liverpool, Smolsky has thoroughly developed his performance craft. He knows how to work a room and a crowd to his advantage. This is something not many artists can do at such a young age. Smolsky has "performance in his blood" (The Magazine of Santa Clarita) and "is able to captivate an audience intensely"(Tea Katz, KHTS AM-1220 Radio).
Smolsky is a currently earning a BFA in Musical Theatre from Pace University in New York City. He is also currently writing two full-length musicals. His debut album, Sea Salt & Strawberries (released on his own record label), is now available on all streaming sights.
Most recently, Smolsky was voted in the Top 5 Songwriters in New York City by ReverbNation in July 2017.
