"The Skye Report (KJCC - 104.1 - San Jose, CA)"

Rapper, singer, songwriter and C.E.O of Emortul Entertainment
Smooth D. says giving back to the kids and community is the most
important aspect of his career. He started out when he was eight
years old and he got interested in the business of music after
getting locked into a bad contract. He learned from the experience
and had been teaching and speaking out as an advocate in the music
industry ever since. He wrote the theme song,” One child at a time”
theme song for the one child at a time 2nd Annual Katt Williams
celebrity basketball tournament in Los Angeles. The program
benefits the department of children and family services. Smooth D
says music is the great equalizer,” the kids don’t care if you’re an
independent or a major artist as long as you come and support
them.” - Michele Jones aka Skye

"Booking Agent/Promoter"

“The main thing I can say about you is that you’re versatile - one minute you’re rapping and then you flip it in the same song and start singing. I almost can’t tell that it’s you doing both - it’s like you’re two different people” - Kuwn Dalini (Owner/Promoter – 7PM/Metro Muzik the Union)

"Radio Personality/Artist"

“I think you are the litmus test for what an artist of the new millennium should be made of. You have business savvy and a vast amount of knowledge for the music game and your heart and passion is so strong that it's contagious when you're on the stage. A lot of people say its 10 percent talent and 90 percent business, but I think its 100 percent business and 100 percent talent. You are rapidly approaching upon “that”, and although highly slept on it won't be long before the world is awakened....” - Pikahsso (Idol Records Recording Artist/Personality - KNON 89.3 FM)

Bio

How many writing, rapping, singing, producing C.E.O.’s do you know? There is only one entertainer who can truly – do it all. Smooth D. is a multi-talented individual who brings a new form of energy and life to the music industry. With his life-related songs and his emotion-filled raps, the “C.E.O.” seems to display his whole personality and image through his music. Being versatile with his rhyming styles and using different production techniques, “D” puts an end to the stereotypes that southern entertainers can’t be diverse.

When it comes to Rap, the “Emortul Spitter” comes hard whether inside the studio or on the street free styling. By using the many set-backs and bad personal experiences he has faced, D. transforms his lyrics into stories that everyone can relate to. On the R&B side of the game, Smooth tackles the issues facing relationships & sex. “Mr. Water”, as he’s known to the ladies, keeps things flowing with his sensual words and soft voice. Once again by taking episodes from his own private life, “Pisces” shows the inner feelings and emotions that most men are afraid to reveal.

Smooth D’s 1st release, “Take It Personal”, is 20 tracks (with 4 bonus cuts) of pure adrenaline, diversity, competition, and originality rolled into one album. The newest star from the “Dirty South” explodes on the scene as a performer who holds nothing back (including a few names and situations) and who goes for what he wants and stands for what he believes in. Smooth D. is destined to become a household name, and for those who didn’t or still don’t believe so – you can take everything he says about you personally.
