Snapkount

Snapkount is a rock/alternative band based out of metro Detroit that combines a tight and heavy sound with beautiful vocal melodies. Formed initially by Nathan Yake (guitar and background vocals) and Andrew Webb (drums) in early 2010, both musicians started on drums but began to move onto guitar and write their own music. Timothy Schumack (keyboard) joined in summer 2010 and much of the music for their current EP was written with these three. Nathan's younger brother, Daniel Yake (bass), was added to the mix in November 2010 before the final pieces of husband and wife pair, Nathan Bedford (guitar) and Jenny Bedford (lead vocals), came to complete the band.

In April 2011, the band recorded their first EP with Josh Sobeck (sound engineer at Northridge Church Plymouth, MI and the Crofoot in Pontiac, MI) that contains five songs with hard rock sections to soft ballads. The EP can be heard and downloaded on their facebook band page under Snapkount and can be heard on myspace.com/snapkount.

Snapkount's music can also be heard on Jango airplay. The band received high enough reviews from listeners to be put on the "Jango Top Ten" the week of December 5th- December 11th in 2011.

Snapkount comes with a strong message formed out of the band's Christian faith and has songs with honest cries from the heart. The band seeks to encourage and bless every person who hears or sees them play.
