Supernova and The Big Red Giants

SuperNova & TheBig RedGiants (snbrg) is a Montreal based band of singer/songwriters whose influences are rooted in blues, rock, and folk. Their collaboration over the past two year has allowed them to push the boundaries of their own individual creativity as well as each others. “Our goal is to write and play music with as much passion and energy as we can give. The band concept is a simple one… WE are SuperNova… WE are TheBig RedGiants.”

On any given night, you'll see 3 lead singers, 3 guitarists, 2 bassists, and a drummer, packaged in this 4 piece "Swamp Rock" fiasco.

With over 50 shows in the Montreal area in the last 3 years: from bars and venues on the infamous Montreal Main, outdoor gigs at park festivals, to elementary schools, Halloween parties, and the roof of a mechanic shop;
They've found time to record their debut album; Vol. 1: No Time, No Space, No Matter in 2010; a selection of the first songs we wrote together. We have also written and recorded the soundtrack to the documentary film: Mal'occhio, and were featured on Montreal's CKUT - Underground sounds on August 16, 2010. We were more recently featured on Montreal's 105.1 MIKE FM Emerging Artists series on February 16, 2011. We've also added Montreal's Highlights Festival (Nuit Blanche) to the list of events we've played at.

Spring 2011 has also introduced what will be the first single from the upcoming Vol II; "It Won't Be So Long" being used to promote the Monde Osé Ball at the end of August. We were also chosen to play at Festival Mondial de la Bière in Montreal; where we won the Band competition. The prize; a ton of cool Beer and a chance to rock their socks off again next year.
