Snoovy

Snoovy is a original songwriter who draws on her 1960’s/70's roots to create a unique blend of grrlrock that is innovative and fun.

Snoovy is a veteran of the Toronto indie scene, rocking venues such as Rivoli, C'est What, Holy Joes, for four great years. Snoovy got her start as a Free Times Cafe regular, and has since seen such success as performing in NXNE 2001, the Ontario Trillium Foundation Conference 2002, the Toronto Pride Parade 2003. Snoovy won the Montreal Fringe Festival Battle of the Bands in 2001. Snoovy has been featured on radio stations in Winnipeg and Toronto and has collaborated in scoring the sound track for an art film. Recently, Snoovy performed with the University of Manitoba Flute Choir this past summer.

Snoovy is happiest when on the road. She has toured in Canada, USA, and Australia. Currently Snoovy is returning to California and Australia to promote her independent release "A Band of Mini Shoes". Her plans for the new year include a sophomore release in February, as well as a 12’ vinyl release of electronic music remixes in the spring.
