 San Diego, California, USA
BandRockAlternative

SO3 is a meld of psychedelic blues sounds with catchy indie and alternative rock sensibility. It's something for everyone; dancing, grooving, and thick 3-dimensional sound of a classic power trio. The band's first EP release "Lose the Girl" has proven radio potential.

Biography

SO3 was formed in Southern California in late 2006 by purveyors of guitar-driven, blues-infused rock, drawn together by a shared appreciation for ripping guitar solos, deep throbbing bass, melodic hooks, and thrashing (yet tasteful) drum beats. Since then, SO3 has taken its act coast to coast across the US, delighting fans from San Diego to New York City, establishing in its wake a nascent cult following behind wildly innovative lead guitarist Mike Artamonov. At the close of 2007, SO3 crossed the Atlantic for a whirlwind tour through Europe and the UK.

The band uprooted itself and moved to Los Angeles in April of 2008. The purpose was to find an environment where rich sounding and interesting music could be produced. After struggling for 3 months, SO3 kicked it into high gear. The result is a 6 song mini-LP titled "Lose the Girl" featuring the acclaimed song "MIA" among others! In May of 2009, SO3 once again completed it's trio with the addition of drummer Alan Clark. Since then SO3 has achieved acclaim in the Southern California area by playing live high profile shows, as well as receiving airplay on the San Diego FM dial. In the coming months, the band will hit the road up and down California and continue rehearsing for their upcoming recording sessions in the fall.
