"Social Genosyde Rocks Out Again"

Social Genosyde put on another great show! Rocking out at Dragon's Lair in Tulsa, the guys really put on another great show. The bar was packed and the beer was flowing. Jukezoo caught the whole thing on camera, and the show can be viewed on their website. Don't miss Social Genosyde's next show at Torchy's Two Bucks in Tulsa on March 27th. They are rocking out with the Joint Effect and Dead Cell 13, and it's definitely expected to be a great show! - Jaime Ford

Bio

It's always been Mike and Jason. Mike and Jason formed Social Genosyde over 20 years ago. High school was the time when these guys met up and decided to put together a band. With their similar taste in music, the influences of Jimi Hendrix, Pantera, Led Zepplin, Down, Black Sabbath, and many many more helped these brothers create a new genre of their own. The genre has no name, however, it can most closely be described as hardrock with some metal and even a little jazz and blues. Their unique sound sets them apart from everyone, as does every experience that has shaped who they are as a band and what all got them to this point. Mike and Jason, the lead guitarist and lead vocalist, have been through many different drummers and bassists over the years, losing them to a plethora of different reasons. Never giving up, they were able to face this hardship and keep the band alive. Finally, one day they realized that the guys they had in the band at the time were just perfect. For three years straight they finally had a consistently working band, gigging several times each month and having a heck of a good time. Sadly, just when Mike and Jason thought they were finally going to make it, tragedy struck and the bass guitarist for Social Genosyde, Kevin Brown passed away in his sleep. He had suffered from diabetes and had cardiac arrest one night. Saddened by the loss of their brother, Social Genosyde took a small break from gigging. After a decent amount of mourning time, the guys realized that Kevin would not have wanted them to stop. So, again, they kept going. Now, Mike, Jason, JD, and James make up the band, and they enjoy playing their music for any and everyone. To this day, Mike and Jason will play in honor of Kevin. And, to this day, all four of these brothers will keep on trucking until the day comes when they are rocking out for the world.
