Broken

Written By: Derek Barg

Taking away what was never here to stay,
Leaving a shell of a man.
Get through the day, in any fucking way, doing the best that you can.

I cannot go on, I'm broken
Don't want to be strong, without you in my life

It's worst by yourself, if you think about your wealth - all that money can't buy
Go to get dressed... failed that test
don't even want to try

I cannot go on, I'm broken
Don't want to be strong, without you in my life

Should I take the leap, the thought that makes me keep my wits about me, is sitting on the other side feeling the same way

I cannot go on, I'm broken
Don't want to be strong, without you in my life

Life Goes On

Written By: Derek Barg

One night one man put down his pen,
raised his eyes and wondered when,
his life would feel fulfilled.
He felt like a page in a long forgotten book,
high up on the shelf.
Tries to trust somebody feels the same

And life goes on beyond my fears.
Sun still gets up, when I'm feeling down
Life is BIG, I am small, this is good.
When I remind myself, I find my tiny mind is comforted.

It would not be kind to tell him no one's out there,
I don't know how well he would cope.
I suppose he's afraid that his dreams are all made up,
Even robots need hope.

And Life Goes On,beyond all of my dreams.
Sun still gets up, when I'm feeling down.
Life is Good, I am small this is big
When I remind myself I find my tiny mind finds comfort.

Actors in a movie, cannot see the end
The characters we cling to, the battles we defend.
The cinema continues, after our movie ends......
Life Goes On

One day one man he farmed the soil,
He broke his 'ho but his wife was loyal.
The dreams that grow and those that shatter.
A lifetime comes and a lifetime goes
from whence to where nobody knows.
And somehow each atom matters.

And Life Goes On,
Beyond my understanding.
Sun still gets up, when I'm feeling down
Life is Big, I am small, this is good.
When I remind myself, I find my tiny mind finds comfort.
...Life Goes On....

Up With You

Written By: Neal Sutherland + Derek Barg

Do you recall that day, you came, you saw, and then you conquered me
With your sparkling eyes, your words so wise,
And I fell to my knees for you.
Then you let me in, to your world of,
Beauty, and of sin,
As you spread the bait, and made me wait, sometimes poison makes you feel great.

You make me so glad that I fucked up with you,
I’ve heard the lies…now I know the truth
You make me so glad that I fucked up with you,
I’ve heard the lies, and I know what I’m going to do

Our love’s a candy store, hard core galore, but we both be getting rocky road,
And though we both would try, for humble pie, it won’t take long before we both stuffed like a turkey who is going bezerky, with too much work on his plate.
There can be no, no winner when you going out for dinner with your relationship at steak

You make me so glad that I fucked up with you,
I’ve heard the lies…now I know the truth
You make me so glad that I fucked up with you,
I’ve heard the lies, and I know what I’m going to do

Do you recall that game, you made, we played,
I still got the scars to prove it,
I’ve heard the lies…now I know the truth
You make me so glad that I fucked up with you,
I’ve heard the lies, and I know what I’m going to do x 2

Please note:There also a version where 'fuck' is substituted with 'Funked'

Time or Money

Written By: Derek Barg

Sitting in his room, breaking his toys.
It’s a colourful tomb, no place for a boy.
Looking out his window, watching the boys on their bikes with their mates, and it sure looks fun.
He’s got six pairs of shoes, and nowhere to run.

I’m supposed to make time and money, sometimes I’m lucky, I get close
I seem to make time OR money, well I don’t know nobody with both

He sits down at his desk, working for a wife he never sees,
I hate to be the one to tell you, if you don’t spend time together, you tend to grow apart.
Good luck making time and money, and the wide divide between trying to provide and living denied, is not where I want to spend my life.

Juggling chainsaws

When I try to make time, and money, when I’m lucky I get close.
He looks down at his watch
Must catch his flight, gonna be a late one tonight,
He’s got to keep working, his kid wants a bike,

I got to stay in time and money, when I’m lucky I get close.
Running out of time and money, there’s got to be a way, I just want to know what it is.

Two legged trouble

Written By: Derek Barg

V1:
50 million years ago we crawled out of the sea,
Still about a pretty tail if you believe TV,
Sometimes times are racing, somedays they take an age,
I reckon some things never really change.
Well I tell you that the first teenager got kicked out of the cave,
for learning how the world works and learning to behave,
Dreaming how the world could be,
I reckon some things never really change.
CH:
The planet's full of two legged trouble, you got to remember the people are beautiful
V2:
A joker needs an audience, a sickness needs a name, a woman needs her loving and lord knows I need the same.
The world keeps on turning but the problems still remain,
I reckon some things never really change.
CH 2:
The planet's full of two legged trouble, you got to remember the people are beautiful.
Bridge:
running around with their faces pinned on, seeking something real -
beautiful people,
look in the mirror see only what's wrong, can't you see that you are beautiful.
You are beautiful, We are beautiful,
There's more good people in the world than bad x3, they're just less noisy,
V3:
A hungry man needs feeding an a princess needs a toad,
A highway man needs highway when he's running out of road,
Boys are always bastards, you know girls are always strange, I reckon somethings never really change
C3:
The planet's full of two legged trouble, you got to remember, the people are beautiful.
v4:
You could call it evolution, you could call it fate, 50 million years is clearly not enough to wait.
Dreaming how the world could be,
And though the planets gone mad, I reckon somethings never really change.
