Society Announce First U.S. Tour
Acclaimed British band bring their highly original take on the Americana sound to the Midwest Music Summit
13th July 2005, London, UK - MusicVoid Entertainment Ltd. are very pleased to announce the first North American tour for Society, one of the UK’s most talented unsigned bands and one of a few overseas acts with a natural appreciation for the traditional sounds of America.
Combining the best sounds of Country and Blues and delivering them with 3-part vocal harmonies that are both uplifting and soul-searching, Society are a fresh and welcome departure from the “power pop” bands currently covering the popular charts on both sides of the Atlantic. The band join recent British acts such as Coldplay and Keane in bringing a high degree of musicality and songwriting to the American music-loving audience.
Led by singer/songwriter Matt Wise, Society strip away the superfluous and concentrate on the core elements of their songs and music. This talented group understand the emotional power of the human voice and the three band members combine theirs to deliver a unique but familiar vocal style that has been winning the band praises and new fans with every performance.
Society will be the only UK artist featured at this year’s Midwest Music Summit which takes place in Indianapolis July 21-23. The band will performing at the Radio Radio venue on the closing night on Saturday, July 23rd.
Following their appearance at the MMS, Society will take to the road to make several stops in the Midwest including Chicago, Rockford, Madison, and Milwaukee.

Society's three-part harmonies and hooks to die for have been leaving their mark on audiences in London and the South East of England since their debut show at Brighton's Concorde 2 in 2002.
From the quasi-religious imagery of "Forty Days" to the wistful and pastoral "Back In The Woods" with it's "na na na" hookline to the hedonistic down-home funk of "Down On The Avenue" this band know how to make music that hits you in the gut and sets your heart a flutter.
Matt Wise's songs of love and redemption, stories of pain, loss, and drinking..... tales of good times and bad......are set to infectious sounds that have their roots on both sides of the Atlantic.
Society are rapidly gaining ground and constantly writing, gigging and again recording in order to hone the SOUND that they alone possess.
