Great layering!
I think you guys have learned and put layering/wall-building to GREAT use here-- in fact, as soon as i heard the first ten seconds, i said to myself 'by what melodies and counter melodies they have gone on, this is either gonna stay monotonous or it's gonna keep layering, and i hope it's the latter'-- and it was and is! in fact, you KEEP layering, and the one thing i'd like to point out that could use some polishing is the clarity of the male vocals-- they sound like they'd be clear, but so much keeps coming in (in both ears), maybe you should copy/paste an identical track of what you already have and have them at a lower volume in both ears, not just center-- it's the enunciation that gets lost primarily, and the voice has such a cool Squeeze 'cool for cats'-kind of huskiness that i really want to hear every word, and clearly... 'whore' was easy to hear... GREAT JOB :)

"Cornerstore Whore"

I imediatly like the groove and feel to this, nice work on the intro to grab my attention. I guess the closest band I can think you sound like would be Postal Service mixed with Flaming Lips. The keyboards are OK they don't stand out or anything fairly average. The guitar riff is a catchy hook but nothing in the vocals really hook me in. A very nice sounding song, but the underlaying lyrics seem a little darker and contrasty. I'm bobbing my head along and then realize you're singing about whores and stuff. Sweet. A great sounding song, I guess it pretty hooky now, well done, it's in my head.

Bio

formed together after a year of soul searching and a few failed attempts of doing solo acoustic work (coupled with real life worst episodes ever of Rockstar band auditioning)..... Sodapop Suicide - The Fil-Am music scene's pseudo-electro-alternative super-group was born....

it is the brainchild of singer/songwriter V. for vendetta Guevarra.....
currently setting the trend with label mates "Bleud", the Kwagos and the Happy Analogues...the bands brand of Ely Buendia meets Thom Yorke songs have placed the band in the forefront of a Fil-Am music genre that they alone occupy. Sampling some of their tunes on Myspace.com, one would get the feeling of listening to some down to earth lyrics accompanied by high-brow electronic-rock sound designs. Songs like, Kalawakan and Style Mo Bulok incorporate indie-rock arrangements with space out effects and stabs....

The rest of Sodapop Suicide are: Mark Lopez on guitars, Badj Miranda on bass and Welljo Padilla on drums....
