As part of the Cultural Festival Zacatecas 2018, the duo Sofia and Marcelo performed at the Miguel Auza Plazuela, captivating the Zacatecan audience with their unique style.
The duo is currently giving its national tour with presentations in Chiapas, Nuevo León, Querétaro, Guadalajara, CDMX, among other cities in the country; at the same time, they are producing their first record material that is about to come out.
Sofia and Marcelo Duo delighted the public gathered in the Plazuela Miguel Auza with original themes and adaptations with jazz, folk and bossa nova tones, such as the poem 'Si mis manos pudieran deshojar', by the Spanish poet Federico García Lorca - ESTOESCCR
It has not even celebrated its first anniversary, but for the professionalism and originality of its proposal, the duet Sofia and Marcelo has managed to win the public and accumulate, from November 2017 to July 2018, 38 concerts, eight of them at festivals, plus a tour in August next for the United Kingdom, with special presentation at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Visiting Diario de Xalapa, Sofía and Marcelo are grateful and surprised by the good response to their project, which they describe as "world music".

SOFÍA & MARCELO USING WORLD RHYTHMS AND TRADITIONAL MEXICAN INSTRUMENTS ACHIEVES A UNIQUE SOUND. THIS IS A FULL THEATRICAL EXPERIENCE FEATURING MUSIC AND POETRY.
The duet had played more than 50 shows in 12 months at different cities and festivals in Mexico like Cumbre Tajin, festival Cultural Zacatecas, Jazz Festivals, and Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2018.
This is a special project because they are looking to share feelings of unity and peace through the music beyond the language.
