Sweet voiced Swedish superstar meets NYC rock.

Biography

Sofi Bonde is a singer-songwriter, born in Gothenburg, Sweden, based in NYC, via Stockholm, Paris and London. In Fall 2003 she moved to New York and began putting together the songs for her soon to be completed full length album. Sofi has written all of the songs with a few close collaborators, such as Eric J (Freeform Five, Joss Stone), Itaal Shur (Santana's "Smooth") and Rick Beato (Shinedown).

The album is being produced by Eric J and Eric Tew (Cheap Trick, Super Furry Animals), whose engineering work on Sheryl Crow's "C'mon C'mon" earned him a grammy nomination in 2003. Sofi's music combines the sounds of early 80's new-wave with the energy and excitement of 21st century rock.

The title track on her recently released EP "All Up To Me", is featured in Rockstar Games' "Outlaw Golf 2" and has been played on over eighty radio stations nationwide, including Z-100 in NYC. Sofi and her band are regularly filling clubs throughout NYC and a European tour is planned for Summer 2005.
