Biography

Sofie Letitre (1984) is a busy lady, she is a member of the at Utrecht located collective 'Knalland', she works occasionally with producer Thijs de Vlieger (Noisia), released a single with drum & bass duo June Miller called ‘Change’ and she is part of Eric Corton's BNN That's Live XL (3FM) ‘Ladies of the Lowlands’. And as if that were not enough, Sofie Letitre released in November 2012 her debutalbum 'Back Where We Come From'.

Both live as on recordings, Sofie Letitre sounds between a bombastic cynicism and most sincere, fragile melancholy. The way Sofie arranges and performs the back of her soul reminiscent of artists like Fiona Apple, Radiohead and Sia.

The first single of the album was actually a cover of Deadmau5 'hit ‘I Remember’. The opinion of the DJ itself about the song was really clear "Bloody Amazing!"

With her six-membered band she has conquered many hearts in venues like Simplon in Groningen, Mezz Breda and the Melkweg in Amsterdam and live performances on radio programs as TROS Muziekcafé, Barend & Wijnand on 3FM and 3FM's Serious Request.
Sofie is now working on her second album, which will be expected in early 2014.
