Bio
Soft Science formed in the summer of 2011 in American Fork, Utah. Seeing the surplus of folk/americana bands in the local music scene, Soft Science set out to make music that would fill a sonic gap in the area that most people were oblivious to. After a few performances, the band started to attract the attention of some of the local tastemakers.
When the band opened for The Moth & The Flame in November 2011, producer Nate Pyfer and mixing engineer Mike Roskelley took notice and talked to the band about making a record. Soft Science began writing songs for an album and spent the first half of 2012 preparing to record. As of October 2012, the album is in the final stages of production, currently being mixed by Roskelley.
Currently, Soft Science is branching out of the Provo music scene (a scene that's played a roll in producing bands like Neon Trees, Joshua James, Fictionist and Imagine Dragons) to prepare for the release of its debut album, BASIC.COMPLEX.
