Soft drum intro? Check. Husky lead vocals? Check. Lovey-dovey lyrics? Check. Female harmonic backing vocals? Check. (and a nice addition by the way). What we have here is a classic teenage heart-breaker of a song: complete with powerful chorus and guitar bridge. OC devotees will love it, and that's no insult. The shared vocals of the lead female singer (who sure can hold a note) and the guitarist, complemented each other well. Their material expertly showcased their talent as instrumentalists, with the dramatic keyboards and drums creating an atmospheric and haunting sound. Their guitarist also gave away a free copy of their ep which was speedily claimed by a girl down the front. The Soft Cuddly Toys are showing tremendous promise musically, and clearly, are generous spirits!

Bio
Soft Cuddly Toys formed around October of 2003. After a couple of years gigging and recording we released our debut 5 track E.P. Higher Ground in July 2005 with some nice reviews from both Hotpress magazine and the Irish Times.
That year we were chosen to play the hard working class heroes festival, reached the final of the Whelan’s brave new stage competition, Hotpress chose us from many bands around the country to support the revs on their “Time Slippin” single launch in Whelan’s, and after all that we played our own packed show in Whelan’s in January 2006. We're currently working on our new stuff.
