Hailing from Washington Heights, a barrio in the northern part of Manhattan, where the tourist dont go, its a neighborhood where Latin cultures clash to form a unique environment, never seen anywhere else. That's why SV is unique; Formed in 2001 with their eclectic mix of Metal, Rock, Hardcore, and their colorful cultural backgrounds. SOHO VIOLET has made a name for themselves, constantly playing in an ever growing scene full of new bands and sounds. They have become an act not to be missed in NYC and soon not all over the country and over seas.
Soho Violet is here to expose the world to the best of their ability;Listeners will enjoy a hard working, experienced, and artistic band. The encounter will be one that shall never be forgotten. A catchy Latin touch here and there with also other musical elements such as punk with melodic metal and hardcore, fused all together creating a Metal fusion assault. The lyrics can be interpreted as emotional and with a personal charge of love, hope, anger, social struggle depending on the mood of the listener.
