Sola

Jimisola Falana, better known by his stage name Sola, is a Canadian Music Composer from Toronto, Canada. Known for his knack of music and old school hip-hop flow, the thought-provoking high-energy performer creates music for all people to listen and relate to.

Initially, Sola did not always know that he wanted to be a rapper. After high school, he sought after a professional basketball career, receiving an athletic scholarship in 2010 to Brandon University. His amazing talents also helped him receive the Rookie of the Year Award for the Men’s Basketball team. But he soon realized that his real love and talents were in music.
The following year he did not return to Brandon University, and began pursuing his music career.

Sola started his musical career in 2011 by releasing various mixtapes in the Greater Toronto Area. His debut mixtape, “Long Overdue” quickly created a buzz, which provided opportunities and exposure for the young talented musician. Sola released his second mixtape in 2012, “Better Late Than Never; which, also had a strong impact in the upcoming Toronto scene. In 2013, the independent artist released his third mixtape, “Deja Vu” featuring YMCMB’s talented recording artist Cory Gunz.

Sola also has managed to open up for Grammy Nominated recording artist Wale, a pivotal moment in the young MC’s career. He also performed live alongside popular rising artists such as Karl Wolfe, Tory Lanez & Reema Major.

In a short period of time he has done numerous city-to-city tours and performances. There are no limits to where this young star can go.
