Bio

PLEASE VISIT WWW.SONICBIDS.COM/SOLROOTS Sol leads a collaboration of musicians of the southeast and mid-atlantic regions of the US. King George, Jake D, and Sol are no strangers to the road.

The band members have collectively covered much of the surface of the earth on tour, lighting up venues across North America, Europe, Australia and the Caribbean.

Sol has shared the stage with blues heavyweights such as Taj Mahal, BB King, Cootie Starks, Cool John Ferguson, John Dee Holeman, Robert Randolph, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Derek Trucks and others.

From the Pines of the Piedmont and the Streets of DC....

At the heart of Sol's sound is The Blues. Piedmont Blues to be exact. That flavor that hails from the juke joints, back-ally dives, and front porches of North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. The band is heavily influenced by blues luminaries such as Taj Mahal, Guitar Gabriel, John Dee Holeman and Cool John Ferguson.

You can't refuse the groove either. Sol's sound is heavily influenced by roots Reggae, old-school Funk and Soul, & Acid Jazz. Attendees usually never know what hit them. They find themselves unable to restrain themselves. Even the most conservative listener WILL dance at an Sol show.

Paying homage to the greats, Sol and his band seek to bring new Roots Music to the next generation of listeners.
