Solid Rocket Booster is music made to be played loud.The extended pre- release single I was sent left me wanting to find out what else these guys are capable of as in the course of a couple 3 minute songs, I found myself thinking of bands like Spacehog and Cheaptrick and maybe a little Bon-era AC/DC.Would like to see the fully Monty from this real-sounding rock band from Austin Texas,a music city that has spawned some nice surprises over the years. - Bucketfull of Brains-U.K.

The band currently has produced it's first EP from their forthcoming album produced at Austin's The Bubble recording complex engineered by Young Heart Attack's Frenchy Smith. The song "Love Goes In" is receiving airplay on Austin's KLBJ-93.7 fm and KOOP-91.7 fm

Taking its cues from 70's and 80's arena rock, Solid Rocket Booster delivers edgy sounds that infuse good pop harmony and big vocals with driving hooks and heavy hitting dual guitars. The band rounds out the mayhem with a hard hitting rhythm section that creates a catchy,unforgettable live sound reminiscent of it's big rock influences.
Born in the "Live Music Capital of the World",of Austin Texas,Solid Rocket Booster is identified by it's quick,hard,punchy rockstylings that separate it from much of Austin's traditional music scene steeped in blues and alternative country and place it more in league with bands like AC/DC and Cheaptrick. S.R.B. belongs to a steadily growing scene of harder edged traditional rock and punk that has always been on the perimeter of Austin music .All hailing from different rock groups on the same scene in Austin ,SRB's members include ex Punchy basher,Armando Reyes on drums,Broken Teeth's,Bret McCormick on bass,and Spoil members David "Beezer" Beeson on guitar and Ashton Gray-"Squib" on vocals and guitar. Individually,SRB members have opened for a diverse range of retro-touring acts such as Rod Stewart,L.A Guns,Motley Crue,Poisin,Faster Pussycat and other bands that are recharging peoples interest in a brand of good-time ,party rock that newer bands like SRB are easily reviving .
Other accomplisments include being voted "Best New Live Act" on "Crash's Live Bait Show" at KOOP 91.7fm and being included on Austin's WB Christmas compilation released this past November
The band has also released an extended single and is currently recording an album at The Bubble in Austin Texas with Young Heart Attacks "Frenchy" Smith at the helm.
