Directly imported from the Dominican Republic, the tones of the Solo Dos duet reflect their origins, and create a “caliente” mix of urban sounds and «Barrio Rap», (a multicultural music from Latino underground representing the young latin generation).
Solo Dos started his career, few years ago with the Swiss Hip Hop collective Double Pact. Since that time, Thony and Isaias Vega, the two brothers, have been on tour through Switzerland, France and Spain, with among others, Aventura, Sergent Garcia, Orishas and Patrice.
With these experiences, their name is now a reference for the Euro-Latino stage.
Their first album, «Barrio Story» released in July 2005 (Universal Switzerland) was a real success, rated within the best Hip-Hop Switzerland sales that year. The first single «Si Tu Supieras» is a master piece of Latin contemporary music. It is a journey through various styles and melodic rhythms, fruits of a very big creativity. In 2007, in the US, the song ‘ Lo Quiere to ‘ was chosen as a part of the sound track of the famous « Ugly Betty « series, broadcasted in prime times and high audience periods on ABC (US channel)
The second release (May 2009) ‘Cocolojuice’ confirmed the group on his way…The featuring (Aventura, Patrice, Orishas…)
as well as the new sounds delighted the early fans and conquered new addicts.
