Soloist was born February 25, 1985 at St. Bernadine’s Community Hospital in San Bernardino Ca. Soloist loved to sing and share his talent with others during his childhood.
When Soloist turned 13 his life started changing at home. He began to feel like his family didn’t support him with the talent that he knew he had. During that time Soloist started getting involved with the wrong crowd in the neighborhood he lived in. At the age of 15 Soloist became a menace to society and did not care about anyone or anything. In the summer of 2000 Soloist had spent time in a juvenile hall facility because of a violation of his probation. While in juvenile hall Soloist found comfort in writing songs and reading. After being released Soloist wanted to start pursuing his music career so his older brother connected him with a producer by the name of “Big Gunz”. Soloist worked with Big Gunz for several years singing hooks and just writing music on the side.
When Soloist turned 18 he started going back to his old ways and stopped focusing on his music career. After a year of breaking rules and facing consequences Soloist wanted to make an even bigger change. So, in November of 2004 he gave his life to Jesus. In April 2005, Soloist started writing Christian Rap songs and recorded his first song in September 2005. Soloist hit the stage for the first time in 8 years introducing him and his group called “D.F.L” which was Disciples For Life and went around performing at local churches in his city. After 6 months of being with the group Soloist decided it was time to work on his own project. In the summer of 2007 Soloist had met an artist/producer by the name of “MNINI”, which means my name is not important, and began to record music with him. In February of 2008 MNINI had offered Soloist an independent recording contract to be with his label “Flight 4:17, Enterprise”. In August 2008, Soloist felt that the independent label wasn’t fulfilling the duties needed to grow as an artist. So, he asked to be released from the contract to pursue the music on a higher scale. In the fall of 2008 Soloist wasted no time and began to work with various producers to make his first official mix tape titled “Story To Be Told”. During the rest of 2008 Soloist began performing throughout California. In the beginning of 2009 God gave Soloist the vision of taking his music to that next level by making his first official album that is scheduled to be released February 26, 2010 which is titled “1 Year Project Spirit Adjustment Vol.1”.Soloist continues performing wherever the mic leads him and hopes to spread the Gospel and the gift that God gave him all over the world.
