Bio

On a June 21st night, five friends savoured the moment of Summer Solstice around a fire, on a secluded ravine deck. We shared our stories, laughter, music, and a common goal, vision and desire to perform. It was the night Solstice was born. The word Solstice means 'sun standing still’. For us, the term also means time standing still, and it is the perfect reflection of our friendship and harmony. Whether we perform at a classy Niagara inn, hometown street festival, community bandshell, wedding ceremony, memorial service, or corporate gala event, we put forth a unique blend of entertainment style and professionalism. It is an exciting journey… We individually bring a lifetime of personal music experience to Solstice, and continue to be influenced by the music around us and by our opportunity to develop and arrange songs. Our music covers a variety of genres: pop, adult contemporary, jazz, ballads and folk delivered with our own style and flavour. We have been complimented on our wonderful vocal blend, but are remembered for our obvious enjoyment in what we do, and we invite you to share in the best part of Solstice.
