Soltre is an Irish musical trio from northern Indiana. With fiddle, flute, concertina, guitar and vocals, they present a unique and innovative variety of traditional and contemporary Irish music. Soltre has captivated audiences with their characteristic blend of driving, rhythmic dance music and powerful, emotional contemporary songs.
Their creative, fiery arrangements are presented with a wild, uninhibited flair, yet they remain precise and retain a distinct respect for the tradition. The group grew from the traditional Irish sessions of South Bend, Indiana. Fiddle player Sean Hoffman and award winning flute player Autumn Rhodes joined forces in 2004 to form a duo with a tight energetic sound.
That sound was not complete until the group invited singer/songwriter and guitarist extraordinaire Kevin Joiner to sit in for a few shows. The musical and personal chemistry was instantaneous and Kevin has played with the group since.
