Bio
In order to become a genuine rock & roll band, you need more than just guitars, vocals, or a catchy chorus line. The individuals involved must live in the music they compose, and strive for the chance to be able to convey this to an audience. STATE of MIND has become such a band over their nine years of practicing and performing. With roots that stem from jazz to blues influences, STATE of MIND has used their musically diverse background to incorporate various genres into their own work. Being able to integrate instruments like the saxophone, trumpet, and even the occasional rock tuba, has allowed this group to create their own unique style of alternative rock & roll.
STATE of MIND has recently made some pretty major changes in location, which has also provided positive changes in their music. After having band members living throughout Wisconsin and some into Minnesota, the band has recently moved from their origins in Central Wisconsin to Minneapolis, Minnesota. The band has now been able to pursue a sound that is reflective of their individual lives, interests, and backgrounds, and are working on molding these ideas into one. STATE of MIND is currently working on a new album that is due out by the summer of 2010.
