All music created by Somatica.

1-"Natural Formality"

Somatica, simply put, are five young men, doing what they want, how they want to. There are no rules when it comes to the music they create. Long-time friends, the one key feature is that they have unusually diverse musical tastes, ranging from bands like Rage Against the Machine, Marillion, Hurt, Tool, Red Hot Chili Peppers, 10 Years, Metallica, Porcupine Tree, The Fugees, Flaw, Chevelle, The Flecktones, Adrian Belew, & Muse. Somatica was created in the fall of 2006 from the musical remnants of theZOO & first-time vocalist Jesse Korfhage. After several months of writing brand new material, they played their first show to an energetic crowd of friends welcoming them into the music scene. Since then, they've added new fans with every performance, reaching thousands with a performance & interview on Artists International Independent Radio ( in Fender's Den of Sin. Weeks later, they returned to a packed Uncle Pleasant's, outselling all the other bands on the bill & being urged for more by the crowd as they left the stage. Later that summer, they earned a spot on the LRSFest pre-show bill at Main Street Lounge, playing alongside top local talent, and in front of another packed house. Since then, Somatica has played multiple popular venues & showcases in & around Louisville, including Headliner's Music Hall in an opening slot for national act, Five Finger Death Punch, Phoenix Hill Tavern, Wick's on Dixie, & the Bulldog Cafe. Late in 2007, Somatica began recording five songs that will appear on their debut EP entitled "Breakfast." Looking ahead, 2007 proved to be a success in many aspects for the band, but there is much more to be done in 2008, as they prepare to take their name, & their sound to a whole new world of listeners.
