Feeling a bit camera shy

Somber was tearin into the sceane in January 2006. Within a months time the band recorded their 1st full length album titled "One Step Away from Nothing".The 1st song titled "Destiny" was submitted to 97.9x and WNEP Channel 16 (Pa) for a show called "Serving in Iraq". The song won hands down and the song was used for the tv special and aired on National TV for a week. The song was the most requested song 2 weeks in a row on 97.9x underground music. The force had arrived. The hunger for more SOMBER continued. The guys started playing the local sceane, playing all original work. The crowds started growing and the first pressing of 1000 cds lasted about 3 months. The style is unmatched, and so original. They take the stage evrytime giving 100%. The band created a huge buzz in the local sceane, and in turn gave them the upper edge to play the areas biggest clubs. The band then hit up Saturation Acres to record "the EP".It was produced by Brett Alexander/Badlees guitarist-vocalist.The same studio that platinum recording artists Breaking Benjamin recorded their 1st EP. The 5 guys from Pa will play anywhere for anyone. The mix of old school guitar leads ,surrounded by new age "catchy" rhythms is the driving force. A band that has the whole package, solid music, with a singer that gets so very intimate. Melodic to a point with a dash of metal groovieness. "We feel the music speaks for itself" is the bands motto. "We feel the bands success is because of a few key things". "We are the most respected band in the area, we treat fans, club owners, bartenders, sound techs with the upmost respect. The way it should be.The band has built a loyal following and has shared the stage with National acts. The band continues to write and perform their own music. "We are not going away anytime soon!" -Dave Whitman/SOMBER We play our hearts out and do it with the upmost respect. Thats the bottom line!
