Somer has been singing since she was 3 years old, whether singing in the car, on her karaoke machine, or in school chorus....She has always loved to sing all types of music, although her favorites are R&B, Pop Rock, Christian and Country.
On November 2006, Somer was named the GCGMA "Female Vocalist of the Year" at the Annual GCGMA Awards, which qualified her for the National Competition where she would compete with the winners from other states across the country.
And finally, she moved on to the National Level competition with "NACMAI" (North America Country Music Association International), in Pigeon Forge, TN. in March 2007, where she performed for judges and received a standing ovation.
She sang her heart out again in one of the toughest competitions and catagories as a newcomer, and was named 2007 North American Country Music Assoc. New Country "Female Vocalist of the Year"!
For most of this past year of 2007 Somer has been focused on school as well as over 30 performances throughout the Southeast including fundraisers, festivals, shows, churches, including a performance at The Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville.
Somer has just recorded her first "Demo" CD and has been invited to sing at many upcoming events including a Nationally Televised Georgia Tech Basketball game where she will be singing the National Anthem as well as a Kennesaw State University Half Time Show....so keep checking back to see where she will be performing next!
