"The "Feel" of Great Music"

Even though they're a young band, Something Like That has already made a name for themselves across the Sauk Valley. It seems that wherever they play they draw a huge crowd of all ages.
Their songs have a Dave
Matthews feel - laid back, very relaxing, like they've been in the
business for years. Definitely take a listen to all of their songs, but my
favorite so far is "Light of My Life." The keyboards in this are awesome
and the vocals beautiful. Sometimes I think people forget about the wonderful sounds coming from acoustic bands. We're so used to that "digital" sound we hear on the radio all the time. SLT brings us back to earth. I think this is definitely a band I'd love to just hang out with. Can't you just imagine sitting around the living room and jamming to their songs ... a great time with great friends!

"River will be Rockin' and Rollin'"

Something Like That has that feel, and for a group of young men, they are quite talented and poised on the stage. - Have Fun!

"Sterling Venue Boasts live music you have to see for yourself"

Something Like That may be a group of high school men, but they are incredibly talented beyond their years. - Have Fun magazine

"Sterling band Something Like That to play Polo Festival"

"SLT is living a short life, yet the band has already carved out a special place in the Sauk Valley and Quad City music scene."

"SLT has been delighting audiences up and down the Mississippi with everything from rock, folk, punk, and even country. Not to mention their own material as well."

"When lead-singer Sean Bright belts out, "One more day, in a place I know, and do not want to stay," it is both an anthem of restlessness and a proclamation that Something Like That is here to stay."

"With the release of their debut CD, "The Missing Piece EP," Bright, Nick Weir, Andrew Bley, and Tyler Johnson are ready for anything and everything that is heading thier way."
- Daily Gazette

"Kickin' Acts"

"When I saw Something Like That, simply put, I was thoroughly impressed. Here are four guys who are as poised as many seasoned musicians, and can attract not only a young crowd, but also an older audience as well." - Have Fun magazine

"Passion for the Music"

Well, what more is there to say that hasn’t already been said about the boys of Something Like That? They bring to the stage a powerful, unique sound with a side of comedy and a splash of attitude. As a group, they have a stage presence that amazes each member of their audience. How could a group of teenagers have the composure of some of the most veteran rockstars? Honestly, the only reason behind their maturity is the bond that binds the four of them together. No, I’m not talking about guitar riffs or drum solos. There is a connection higher than anything musical—a friendship.
These guys have what many could only dream of. Behind all of the lights and sounds, these are 4 best friends doing what they ALL love to do. We all wish that every day could be the time of our lives spent with our best friends, the ones we love and care about. Well, then we should all envy Nick, Sean, Andrew and Tyler because that’s exactly what they’re doing. Every time they step up to the microphone, strap on their guitar, sit down at the piano bench and grip their drumsticks, they’re beginning to make memories that will last a lifetime. The memories enhanced by this friendship ring out louder and clearer than any note in each and every one their songs.
As their CD spins, you become fully aware of the sound that these guys produce. Who would have ever thought that four best friends could make such beautiful music…it could be the topic for a box office hit, hello Hollywood! In all seriousness though, the aspect heard most is the way band’s sound compliments each members’ individual talents. Behind the band, there are four extremely brilliant artists who, when working together, form a fluid system that creates a sound that make the eardrums tingle and the toes tap. Each member knows his role in the system, but fully acknowledges the importance of the other band members. Each one knows that without the others, there would be no Something Like That.
I have had the pleasure of watching these 4 guys grow into something unimaginable. They’ve grown closer as a band and have individually matured into young men that continually turn heads and open eyes. Their music may seem, at times, to be just another garage band trying to make the big cut, but I promise you that there is more to it than that. Making the “big cut” isn’t important to the men of Something Like That, making the music is what they really care about. If you haven’t heard their sound, hear it, get out to a show, pick up their CD, and just listen. I guarantee the passion put into their songs will get your blood pumping and instantly bring a smile to your face. - Tony Guzzardo
